Nancy is a certified Reflexologist who's been in practice since 1986 and is a member of the Pennsylvania Reflexology Association (PRO) .

Trained in the Ingham Method and with a background in Shiatsu (International School of Shiatsu), she combines the two with the method of Chinese Reflexology called Rwo Shur - a method that originated over 5000 years ago.

She has taught Reflexology for Bucks County Community College Continuing Education, as well as to pregnant couples of The Bradley Method in Germantown, PA - and is a former Reflexologist for Bode Body Works and L'Avantage Day Spa in New Hope, PA where she started in 1989, a few months after the birth of her son.

Traditional Reflexology The feet are cleansed with either Tea Tree oil or other organic or natural herbs or oils to clean the feet (you have a choice of either) and the sess​ion begins.There is no soaking of the feet, and does not include aromatherapy oils at the end of a session, that is the Western approach and it is available by request.

Applying acupressure to these distinct points using thumb, finger and hand pressure can help the entire body come back into homeostasis; stimulating circulation to revitalize and harmonize the functions of the body to effect a physiological change- activating the lymphatic system assisting in elimination of toxins trapped in the body.

Reflexology is a Science which deal with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet relative to each and every part within the body. Based on acupuncture, this meridian system runs throughout the body.

Acidic crystals can build up and flow is impeded when calcium deposits in an energy channel. Reflexology can restore the flow of energy throughout the entire body. Stimulating these areas properly can help many health problems in a natural way, just like preventative maintenance.

Please refrain from the massage of the sole ~ immediately after the brain trauma, or when

a) temperature is above 98.6, or

b) 30 minutes after eating

c) Do not press below the ankle in the concave areas (ovaries and uterus points) if pregnant or a any young 9 - 16 year old. 

Nancy's demonstrated Reflexology at the Pennsylvania Convention Center 'International Woman's Show' for Rejuvinations and has donated her services to the Friends of Buckingham Peace Fair where the above photo was taken.

She's participated in 'A Women's Day of Indulgence and Joyful Sensations' at the Deer Park Camp, New Hope, PA as a Reiki practitioner and Reflexologist.

The tsubos on the face are easy to find - the health and beauty includes some points that aren't found on the face - Pressing on the edges of the cheek can help eliminate bags under the eyes and relax and illuminate tired faces.

Benefits of Shiatsu (acupressure) of scalp, shoulder, and neck massage -

Migraines are sometimes caused by a decrease in serotonin levels; acupressure may be able to increase serotonin levels and relieve pain. Headaches, on the other hand, may be caused by muscle tension, which a scalp massage can also alleviate [sources: Mayo Clinic].

If you sit at a desk all day, you're probably familiar with a feeling of stiffness in your neck. It can even happen when you're watching a long movie in a theater or if you sleep in an awkward position.

Ear Reflexology

The 'hole you see in the photo on the right is the Shen Men point or Chinese 'heaven's Gate' on the ear, which helps calms you in times of stress and is a popular point to use for cravings of any kind. It is considered to alleviate apprehension, fear, anxiety, and to help regulate the sympathetic nervous system. Shen Men is regularly employed in addiction treatments.

When feeling large amounts of pain and abnormality in the foot, please go to the hospital. There are times when the foot indicates a danger of a greater illness.
